Teacher Prep Work in 2008-2009 - TechGradRequirement

In 2008-2009, ABC secondary teachers worked with their SITS Coordinators to develop NETS based lessons across the curriculum. In 2008-2009, teachers voluntarily committed to participate in the TechGradRequirement Board Policy during the 2009-2010 school year “tagging” a choice specific sections as "technology integrated".

Intent to Participate
ABC Teachers have been asked to submit online their "intent to participate" in next year's Techgradrequirement. The online submission informs ABC secondary principals as to their level of teacher participation. All secondary schools must have 45% of their master schedule of courses "tagged" to participate in the new techgradrequirement by virtue of technology integrated lessons and projects that meet the disitrct standards.  The 2008-2009 school year is set aside for ABC secondary schools to develop technology integrated lessons and projects that meet standard and ensure that schbe prepared for participation at the start of the 2009-2010 school year. Pre-Policy Development - Teacher Survey Data
During the development of the new board policy, teacher surveys were extended to help Techgradrequirement policy developers stay on target with what was happening on the ground in everyday classrooms. The pre data assisted in the creation of participation targets that were both challenging, yet achievable and bound for success.
