The purpose of the defined technology integration rates are to assure that every ABC secondary student has equal and ample opportunity to experience technology within their normal schedule of course work. Students and administrations will not be required to spend time finding a course within a catalog or attempting to schedule students into hard to find "technology integrated" courses. The integration rates also ensure the graduation requirement is equally accessible at any ABC school a student may attend.
By design, ABC's high school technology graduation requirement calls for technology to be ubiquitous throughout the school day in all curricular areas- like students find in real life.

Technology Refresh Funding. ABC Unified has committed $5,000,000 towards instructional technology within our schools. To date, $2,000,000 has already been infused into schools. Although the refresh cycle has been paused in 2008-2009 due to the state budget, plans are to resume the refresh cycle in better economic times. Expected forthcoming refresh cycle funding at the secondary level will be used to support secondary schools' accomplishment of the Technology Integration Rates listed above.
